He has focused on promoting children\u2019s literary theatre to open up new horizons for children to learn through the joys of theatre. Through a carefully selected repertoire, POP Theatre has established itself as a platform for children to learn about themselves and other important life lessons, while cultivating their creativity and imagination through drama. It is the goal of POP Theatre to bring in parents, so that they could be inspired and moved together with their children by the theatrical productions, providing an opportunity for parents and children to share these moments of growth. POP Theatre\u2019s conviction is that dramatic arts could have a permanent imprint on the audience, making a positive impact on their lives.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, POP Theatre produced a theatrical adaptation of \u201cEight Hundred Years of Hatred, Eight Hundred Years of Healing\u201d from the great Japanese manga artist Osamu Tezuka\u2019s \u201cPhoenix.\u201d It was nominated for the \u201cTen most popular Theatrical Productions,\u201d \u201cBest Sound Design,\u201d and five other awards in the 21st Hong Kong Drama Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2015, POP Theatre has been receiving one-year grants from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC), in addition to becoming a Venue Partner (VP) of Tuen Mun Town Hall through the Leisure and Cultural Services Department\u2019s (LCSD) Venue Partnership Scheme. In 2019, POP Theatre became a grantee of ADC. The company will continue to promote dramatic arts at the community level with the goal of \u201cInspiring Creativity for Life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;&#8220;New Vision for World Children&#8217;s Literature&#8220;&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>POP Theatre is committed to developing children\u2019s literary theatre in Hong Kong. The company has been exploring and adapting children\u2019s literature from different parts of the world to nurture appreciation of dramatic arts.
