“Beyond the Past. Break the Tradition! This Summer, witness your child leap from the rehearsal room to the professional theatre stage!
This year, POP Theatre brings refreshing changes—our traditional drama classes are fully upgraded. Instead of following the usual classroom structure, we make a professional performance the core of learning.
From the very first day stepping into the rehearsal room, each learner participates as a mini performer. Through hands-on rehearsal, they learn drama skills and stage performance in practice. This year, we specially plan a Large-Scale Integrated Grand Revue, allowing children to experience a transformation within a short summer, from auditions to intensive training, and finally to the grand performance.
The full programme includes a total of 21 professional theatre training hours, consisting of:
9 hours of regular classes
9 hours of joint technical rehearsals for stage cues
3 hours of costume rehearsals and preparation for the Grand Revue
Finally, the Grand Revue will be held on 16 August at Tuen Mun Town Hall – Performance Arts Hall, where learners will showcase their learning outcomes in a professional theatre environment.
‼️ Application Deadline: 15 May — Please apply now!
🎭 Three-star courses (small classes; taught in English or bilingual):
✨ Class A: Toddler Drama Adventure — Ages 3–5 (taught in English)
• Highlights: Through English-language games that lower learning pressure, children build confidence and basic expressive skills. Little ones will become seven adorable dwarfs and forest animals, leading the opening chorus and group performances—full of charm and energy!
✨ Class B: Junior Drama Stars — Ages 6–9 (taught in English)
• Highlights: Step into the spotlight! Professional instructors will guide line delivery and emotional expression. Participants will drive the main story and climactic dialogues of Snow White, becoming the most dazzling stars on stage!
✨ Class C: Little Dance Explorers — Ages 3–6 (taught in English/Cantonese)
• Highlights: Tell stories with the body! Focused on coordination and musical rhythm, children will perform energetic dance pieces that lift the whole show’s atmosphere.
Professional Advancement – 3-Part Journey (Plan Overview)
1st Stage: Mini Performer Briefing Day (Audition/Selection)
This is the first stop on your child’s dream journey. The day includes:
- Detailed programme introduction
- on-the-spot selection
- Tutors will observe learners through a series of carefully designed theatre games in a relaxed atmosphere. Learners only need to prepare a 30-second self-introduction to show their true selves. Based on their performance, we will assign the most suitable start position for each child on stage, opening the journey of an artistic adventure.
Note: Only learners who pass the first-stage selection can move on to the second-stage training.
2nd Stage: Regular Rehearsals & Technical Rehearsal
Led by a team of professional tutors, learners will attend structured training in English or bilingual. The training will strengthen:
physical expression, voice & dialogue delivery, teamwork and collaboration
Children will enter a professional theatre environment and experience formal lighting, sound, and technical coordination—building solid foundations for the performance.
3rd Stage: Grand Revue / Show Day
In the final stage, learners will complete their theatre masterpiece with the audience’s applause—showcasing the transformation and growth achieved during the summer.
